Governor Pat Quinn joined area dignitaries on October 22, 2014 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new addition to The Louis S. Viverito Senior Center. In addition to a symbolic shovel ceremony, Quinn announced $200,000 in additional state funding to help offset the cost of the construction project. Two new rooms for art and exercise classes and separate rooms for computers, cards and a pool table room are part of the plan.
According to Louis S. Viverito, Township Supervisor, "Governor Quinn's support of the project reflects his deep understanding of the challenges seniors face."
During construction, the Township continues to make arrangements to accommodate all programs that are currently provided and staff is available to serve you. Stay tuned for more updates!
